Iron Maiden will play sixteen more shows in North America in spring 2027. Live Nation announced them on 16 October as the third and final leg of “Run For Your Lives”, the 50th-anniversary tour, running from Tacoma on 14 April to Ocean City on 16 May. None of the dates is European.
The band had said it would stop playing live in 2027. “As many of our fans know, Maiden were planning on taking a break from live performances in 2027, but we’ve been enjoying this last leg in the USA and Canada so much that we all had a chat and decided we should take the show to parts we missed, particularly the North West and South East,” bassist Steve Harris says. “It just seems fair to our many fans there who have given us tremendous support for so many years. We can’t get everywhere but we can try!”
The bill is made up of three British bands, something Maiden have not done since 1983. Special guests are Bullet For My Valentine, who release “Social Apocalypse” on 19 March 2027 and who have not played North America since their co-headline tour with Trivium, and opening are The Raven Age, who had supported Maiden on South and Central American dates.
The leg closes with two festivals: Sonic Temple in Columbus, Ohio, on 14 May, and Boardwalk Rock in Ocean City, Maryland, on 16 May. “At festivals you are not just playing to your own fans so it’s always a challenge and we all love a challenge!” Harris adds.
Manager Rod Smallwood gives the overall figure: by the time it ends, “Run For Your Lives” will have played 107 shows to well over three million people in 36 countries. The artist presale opens on Monday 19 October at 10 a.m. local time in each city, and the general on-sale on Friday 23 October.
