Danish death-doom band Konvent release “Firesky” on 6 November through Napalm Records. It is five tracks: “Exorcise”, “Scorning”, “In the Unknown”, “Firesky” and “Postludium”.

The second preview is the title track, out today with a video; the first was “Exorcise”, on 11 September. A guest sings on it, and the label and the video do not credit her the same way: Napalm’s tracklist gives her as Mai Soon Young Øvlisen and the video title as Meejah. The label has not cleared it up.

Jacob Bredahl produced and recorded it at Antfarm Studios, mixed it himself at Dead Rat Studios, and Brad Boatright mastered it at Audiosiege. The cover art is by Nona Limmen.

It is Konvent’s first record since “Call Down the Sun”, from March 2022. It comes on black gatefold vinyl, cassette, CD digisleeve and digital, plus two Napalm shop exclusives: a multi-colour pressing limited to four hundred copies and a numbered White Label edition limited to fifty.
