Autumn Tomb release their self-titled debut on 6 November through Spaceflight Records, and have put out the visualiser for “Crumbling Thrones”.

The band is Steve Moore, half of Zombi, on guitar, vocals and synths, with The Sword’s rhythm section: Bryan Richie on bass and Santiago “Jimmy” Vela III on drums. There are five tracks — “Ages Lost”, “Golgatha”, “Miracles Of Pain”, “Eternal Sea” and “Crumbling Thrones” — recorded at Nightmare City Studio in Albany, New York and Paper Weapons in Taylor, Texas, with additional work at Hummingbird in Oakland.

“I’ve been a fan of metal since the late 80’s and have wanted to put together a group like this for a while,” Moore says. Vela saw it the same way: “When the opportunity arose to work on a new heavy music project with Steve Moore, it was a no-brainer for me.” Richie says he was “captivated from the first note of the demos Steve sent us”.

Zombi have spent twenty-five years working with analogue synthesisers and drums and no vocals, and The Sword have not released anything new since “Used Future” (2018).
