Mawiza will play the Estadio Nacional in Santiago on 12 September 2027, as part of Slipknot’s “sic(est)” stadium tour. They share the bill with the band from Iowa, with Marilyn Manson and with Hatebreed.

The band are Chilean and sing in Mapudungun. “Opening for Slipknot and for Sepultura is something extremely powerful for us,” says Awka, their singer and guitarist. On how they work: “The path we have chosen leads us to make metal sound like the places we come from, in the south of the world, without having to imitate anyone.”

Their album “Ül” came out on 18 July 2025 through Season of Mist and picked up a Pulsar award nomination. It is not the first time they have crossed paths with Slipknot: they had already opened the Chilean Knotfest in 2024.

Before that date they have the show with Sepultura, on 8 October at the Teatro Coliseo in Santiago.
