Hardcore Superstar have signed to Frontiers Music and start there with “Halo”, a single out days before the band opens the Dirty Halo Tour. The tour starts on 2 October at the Slagthuset in Malmö, runs to twenty dates across Sweden and Finland, and continues through Europe in 2027.
The Gothenburg band talks about hunger: “After all these years, we’re still just as hungry to make great records, play loud and push Hardcore Superstar forward. We feel Frontiers understands where we come from, but more importantly, where we want to go next.” Aldo Lonobile, the label’s vice president for A&R, replies: “They have built an incredible legacy, but I truly believe they still have a lot to say and many more chapters to write.”
“Halo”, they say, is about praying without believing: “Halo is an anthem for people faking their prayers in the hope of securing a little grace under their Dirty Halo. It’s about that distorted line that lies somewhere between praying for redemption and embracing the chaos.”
While they were getting the tour ready they were already working on the follow-up to “Abrakadabra”, which will be the first record with Efraim Larsson on drums, in from Gathering Of Kings and Masterplan. The Swedes debuted in 1998 and have lately had several songs on James Gunn’s “Peacemaker”.
