Temple Nightside release “Cenotaph Severance”, their fifth album, on 30 October, on CD and vinyl through Iron Bonehead Productions. The Australian blackened death metal quartet had not issued anything since “Pillars Of Damnation”, from 2020.
There are eight tracks: “Seething Dissolve”, “Sunken in Charnel Entrails”, “The Slow Embalming of the Will”, “Soul Defilement”, “Within Sepulchred Walls”, “Desolation Utterance”, “Exhumed Death” and “Fossilised Entombment”. The label has opened the listening with the fourth, “Soul Defilement”.
The line-up signs with initials and nicknames, as always: IV on bass, guitars and vocals, Basilysk on drums, BR on guitars, bass and vocals, and Ignis Fatuus on guitars. The band has stayed with the same label since “The Hecatomb”, from July 2016.
