Temple of Bones release their first album, “Walk The Winds”, on Friday 13 November through Relapse Records. There are six tracks and the first one out is “Black Horizon”.
Singer Scott Ruth and drummer Brandon Thomas both come from Ripping Corpse, the Red Bank, New Jersey band that left a single album behind, “Dreaming with the Dead” (1991), and broke up shortly after; the pair formed Dim Mak straight away. On bass is Dennis Carroll, of Torture Krypt and also Dim Mak, and on guitar Mike Schweigert, of Lord Sterling and Full Speed Ahead.
“A couple of years back I started coming up with some riffs and I really wanted to hammer them out with a drummer. So I sent Brandon a text asking if he’d want to work on them and see if we could make something of them, and if we did, maybe demo them,” Schweigert says of how it started.
The album was produced by Phil Caivano, guitarist in Monster Magnet. The other five tracks are “Sky Is Like Ocean”, “Walk The Winds”, “Locust Thorns”, “Lowly Demon” and “Cut With Rusty Saw”. No shows have been announced.
